Moving Pains

Okay, I didn't really expect the movers to show up at right at 8am, even though they said they'd be here between 8-10. Hey they've still got an hour before they are late, but why or why aren't they here yet? I've got 95% of my stuff packed. Is it so wrong to want someone eles to put the last 5% of odds and ends in boxes?

Well, now that I've officially given up on packing, I'm going to try and respond to that backlog of comments I've built up since my DSL died. It seems that my hijacked signal is stronger on this side of the room too, so maybe it will go well.

ETA: They are now an hour late. I called, and supposedly they'll be here in about 20 minutes, but movers are notorious for lying about these things, so I'm not really expecting it. Man I'm bored.

Thanks. It's gone pretty well so far. In fact right after I complained about the movers being late they showed up.

I know you don't know me from a hole in the wall, as I have only very recently found my way to your site and your WONDERFUL,WONDERFUL writing, but with the recent bashing and now porn police shutdowns going on, on LJ, I was wondering if it would be possible to be added to your friends list as I TOTALLY fell in love with your stories Fair Trade (and it's sequel) The Guardian and Fearful Symmetry and would be simply CRUSHED beyond belief if I could not read them over and over again as well as anything new that you choose to honor us with.

I totally understand the need to f-lock because shit happens and you need to protect yourself and your VERY precious work and I'll understand if you don't want to friend me cause like I said you don't know me from a hole in the wall, but I thought I'd ask (beg, plead, be your slave - I swear I'm not a wacko, just a huge fan!!)
