Is it too late to make a New Year's resolution? I really should try and keep up with LJ, not to mention getting back to writing. In fact it would probably be better for my mental health to spend my time writing smut instead of worrying about what I'll do if I don't find a job in the next couple months.

Yep I'm still unemployed. I do have some part time work with a couple catering companies, but it's no where near enough to live on. On the bright side though, I'll be working both the Grammy's and the Academy Awards, which should be fun, as long as the people running them aren't too stressed out. Of course I never watch music videos, and don't pay any attention to album covers, so my favorite singers could walk right by me and I wouldn't know it was them.

Okay, somehow this seems like a very bland entry, but then I'm kind of emotionally run down. I just find it so frustrating that you can't get a job as a waitress right now unless you have three years experience. Not that waiting tabels is what I really want to do, but it would be an in, until I could pin down a bartending job. I guess what really annoys me is that my six years in the navy don't count for anything. Because it isn't restaurant work, most places won't even talk to me.

Okay, now I'm just whining. I'll try and get another update soon, and to keep up with everyone else's journals.

Yes the fabled job hunt really is an energy sucker. Thanks for the prayers, I can use all the positive thoughts I can get.

You know, being a bartender is a worthy ambition. Steady work and you get to be an ear to people who need one! Keep looking and I'll keep praying you get a great gig.

Thanks, I guess I hadn't looked at it that way. Of course most of the work I've had so far has been one night events. I have to say I would definitely like to work in a place with a lot of regulars.
