Pissed Off
Aug. 30th, 2005 10:56 amOkay, I've about had it with the damn moving company. The last time I talked with them they said my stuff was being picked up from the warehouse over the weekend and that the delivery would be sometime from Tuesday to Thursday and I should call Tuesday morning to find out a more exact time. Not really the answer I wanted, but okay, what can I do? So I called this morning and this time the woman told me almost exactly the same thing, except this time she told me my stuff would be picked up this coming Sunday, the 3rd of F***ING September, and that the delivery would be from Tuesday to Thursday again.
This is getting so ridiculous. I asked the woman on the phone why I should believe her considering I was told when they picked up my stuff, TWO WEEKS ago that it would only take one week for them to deliver, and that every time I've called they've told me it would be in the next couple days. She didn't have an answer. So I asked to speak to a manager and she gave me an e-mail address. I just sent, a relatively calm (compared to how I feel) e-mail giving the exact details of everything they've told me, explaining why this is f***ing up my life, and asking why her company has a policy of lying. The thing is, I could deal with not having my stuff, if they'd just been upfront about how long it would take, or even that they had no freaking clue.
The worst part is Friday night I couldn't sleep because I was in so much pain because of my dry skin (it sounds weird I know, but basically all the skin on my entire body hurt). I almost went to the emergency room, because it was the middle of the night, and I didn't think I could take the pain much longer. I toughed it out though, and Monday morning I went to the VA (Veterans Affairs) clinic. The nurse there was very nice, and went out of her way to get me an appointment with a dermatologist as quickly as possible. Guess when. Next Wednesday, right in the middle of the delivery window, assuming I believe them.
Okay, done ranting now, and I no longer feel like crying. I just feel so helpless because these people are holding all my worldly possessions hostage.
If the manager doesn't respond to my e-mail today, I'm sending her another one tomorrow, reminding her that since I can't get a job until my shipment arrives, and all I have is my laptop an internet connection, I have nothing to do over the next week but report her company to every consumer advocacy group there is, and try and destroy their reputation so that others will not choose to use their company.

Date: 2005-08-31 03:26 pm (UTC)The skin thing is getting better, at least on my face, which is where it's been the worst. I no longer look like a three years old who got into mommy's blush. Although I just got my new drivers license today, and the picture was taken when it was pretty bad, so I look like an abused woman.
Oh well, drivers license pictures are always bad.
