Moving Pains
Jul. 6th, 2005 05:51 pmWell, Friday was my last day of class as an undergraduate. I'm done. Yay! Of course it felt rather anti-climatic since we didn't even have class, we just had to turn in our final paper.
So today was spent at the temp agency explaining why people would want to hire me, and proving that I can type and use Word.
And in a little over a month I move to L.A. Kind of stressed about that, but also really excited, especially since I just learned that I can't afford to buy a place there. Yeah, sounds strange I know, but my mom's really been pushing me to buy instead of rent, but I just talked to a realtor and there's simply nothing I can afford. Sure I could get a big enough loan, but I couldn't afford the property taxes. And I'm glad. As much as I'd like to own my own place, finding one and then getting a lone, and waiting for all that closing stuff to happen is just to stressful right now, especially since I have to do most of it remotely.
So I'm more than happy to rent. Especially since the rental costs aren't too bad. Plus there's all sorts of buildings that come with stuff like high speed internet access, the one luxury I must have. So I'm excited about the move again, and hopefully tonight I'll be able to sleep.
As far as writing goes, I just posted the last chapter of Nothing to Fear. . . this morning. Can't belive I finished it, or that I wrote something 40 chapters long.
