Since moving to L.A. I've made several friends, but one of them stands out. She's one of those people I just clicked with from the very beginning. Well in a couple months she's moving back to New York (she just moved out her to take care of her Grandmother who had cancer, but now that her grandma is better she's going back) and when we were out the other night she said, "Why don't you move out there with me?"

And now the idea is in my head. My first reaction was that moving from one coast to the other would be too expensive, but something I realized was that if I move to New York, I'd sell my car. Not only would that give me a few thousand dollars, but it would cut my monthly bills by at least $300 when you take into account insurance, parking, and gas.

Of course I just started this new job that I love, but the thing is, there's a lot of similar work in New York. In fact in some ways it's better. As much as I love the environment it's not my number one political issue (foreign policy type stuff is) and there are a lot of democratic groups in New York that are hiring to gear up for the presidential election.

So yeah, the idea has started to take hold in my brain. Not sure what I'm going to do, but who knows, maybe it's time to turn my wagons east?
