Update on me
Oct. 14th, 2006 05:26 pmSo I've been back to my old lurking ways the last week or so. Actually I can't even say I've been lurking since I've only given LJ a cursory glance recently.
I blame the job, jobs are always good to blame. Actually I'm a little annoyed at my job right now, because funny enough, getting regular work has caused me to go broke. Luckily a bunch of checks came in the other day from jobs a did before the new job at Marie Calander's so I have money to pay my bills.
The real problem is that they still haven't given me a regular schedule, plus I've just been hostessing and selling pies, and there's not many tips in that. That should change soon though. Actually on Wednesday they called me at 3:30 and asked me if I could come in right a way. Someone didn't show up for the shift, so even though I wasn't trained, I started serving. On the bright side every one said I did a great job considering I had no training, plus I made a lot in pity tips from customers who I told it was my first day. Also, now they're finally giving me training shifts as a server, so that's good. Of course the manager tried to get me to come in tomorrow morning. Ever since I first got the job I've told her repeatedly that I couldn't work this one Sunday because of the AIDS walk, but she's never written it down. Of course once I reminded her she said it was okay.
And now I get to start my weekend. I'm meeting
eurydice72 and
_jealousy_ in just a little while and we're going to the Kane concert (I'm so excited). And then tomorrow I get to meet up with
ghostgirl13 for the AIDS walk. I'm very excited, although I think I'm going to be very sleepy tomorrow morning.
