Male Dancers

So last night I was working an AIDS benefit and they had as part of the entertainment, several exotic dancers (I figure you can't call them stripers if they start off with almost nothing on). Three of them were men and one was a woman. Incidentally, only one of the men could actually dance, the other two mostly kind of stood there and wiggled their hips a bit. But in any case, it was obvious that the gay men were really enjoying the show anyway.

A couple of the guys I was working with made comments on how this was entertainment for us women, but not for them since they were straight, but honestly, I wasn't all that interested in them. Which made me wonder, I know so many women who make a big deal, and can be kind of loud about liking male strippers, but sometimes I wonder if that's just women feeling like they have to ogle men as much as men ogle women in some sort of equality race. On the other hand, maybe it's just me. So I'm curious, since my flist is certainly full of people who aren't shy about this sort of thing (at least online) do you enjoy watching male strippers?

I find strippers to be really idiotic. No offense to the people that umm, like them. Every time that I have ever seen them (which is usually for bachelorette parties) the guys are unattractive and I get this HORRIBLE slimy feeling from them.

The bride-to-be is then forced to do humiliating things with him for the amusement of her friends. *rolls eyes* And I just don't get it at all. Maybe cause I don't find the Fabio type attractive?

No not at all. And you're right, the stripper type, just isn't my type either. I'm all for muscles on a guy, but not too many muscles. If they've gone beyond in shape into the realm of "works out just to add more muscles to the body" I'm not interested. Maybe it's because I equate guys like that with being too obsessed with how they look, and too stuck up.

Well, to be honest I've only seen a few. Like 3. And 2 out of the 3 were not so good, but the 1...Whoo! Nice.

Oh! I totally have a story to go with this...

So when I moved from my small town to the big city of Portland, Oregon, someone took me to a gay strip bar. It was cheesy and I totally gagged on all the cigarette smoke, but it was an adventure.

Later on, when my totally horny, Playgirl-reading cousin would come visit, I'd take her there. After awhile, that's all she wanted to do when she came to visit. My clothes would totally stink up the room when I got home and I grew to hate that place.

I think all I did there was drink and wait for my cousin to get her fill of men in g-strings. So turn me on? Not so much. Give me a good het or slashy smutty fanfic anyday and I can make up the images in my mind to go with.

I'm just not interested in the display. I would much rather which a 5 minute (comedy/dramatic/musical) skit with three men and a woman than to watch any one or all of them wiggle and writhe around on the stage. Body parts without a story or emotion don't mean anything to me. *Burnz shrugs* That's my two cents.

Yeah I think that's me too. I need some sort of personality to go along with the body. Which is why I was never a big fan of DB on Angel, but I love him on Bones ;)
