(no subject)

So I've decided Facebook may actually not be all evil, or useless. There's a huge fire a few miles north of where I live in Colorado. As I was listening to the coverage I realized that the parents of my best friend growing up live very near the fire. I'd kind of lost touch with her though, except that we'd ended up friending each other on Facebook a while back. I actually used it to e-mail her and ask her about her parents. It's funny cause I thought that maybe it would be inappropriate, I guess since she's someone I've known all my life it felt odd talking to her through Facebook about something so important. But she e-mailed me right back that they were okay, although they'd been evacuated, but they didn't think there house was in too much danger. Which is all to the good. So now I'm not so worried. So yay for Facebook.
