Me Update

So the heat this last week and a half has been absolutely killing me. Yeah, no surprise there, but now it's cooled down a bit, and I actually have been getting stuff done.

On the bartending front not much has been happening, I haven't had an interview for a while, but that's cause I haven't really been trying. On the other hand, I'm actually taking steps to pursue a career in acting. I now have a commercial agent, I'm going to be taking classes on auditioning, and I'm going to register with Central Casting on Wednesday. It's not the most glamorous side of acting, but it is the area where you can actually make money.

I had more to say, but my minds gone totally blank because I just found a drowned cockroach in my water. Gee I love California.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, although I'm a little embarassed by it. I wrote this for the first round of the most recent joss_las. The catagory was simply romance, so it's a little cheesy. Doing romance in under 1000 words is difficult. But hey, I figured I'd post it anyway.

Yuck meme

Yes, I'm posting again. It's just that kind of day. Actually, it's been a really weird day. I started out lazy, then got motivated and actually got everything I wanted to do today done. But then an hour or so ago I just randomly felt sad. I have no idea why, so I guess maybe this meme fit my odd mood swing somehow.

Anyway, I snagged it from _jealousy_ and had to try hard not to use some of the same answers as her.

FRUIT: I don't think there is a fruit I don't like.
FOOD: Chinese
CANDY: I don't like it when they put stuff in the chocolate. Leave the poor chocolate alone.
BEVERAGE: Ice tea or coffee. Both should be hot

TV SHOW: American Idol. It's not that I'm against the idea, I just wish I didn't have to hear about it so much.

WHAT FASHION TREND (PAST OR PRESENT): I don't really pay attention to trends, but I don't like shorts. I know, it sounds odd, but something about shorts bothers me. I never wear them, I always feel kind of naked, which is weird cause I'll wear skirts shorter than the shorts I've bought in the past.
WORST POPULAR SONG (PAST OR PRESENT): I'm a Genie in a Bottle or whatever that Brittney Spears song is called.
WORST PART OF YOUR JOB: Getting told by a customer that their going to tip me less because of the owner's prices.
WORST PICKUP LINE YOU'VE GOTTEN: Does getting offered a hundred dollars count as a pick up line?
WORST THING ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: The feeling that you could be out starting your life, but instead you're listening to adults who are dumber than you teach you stuff you already know. Wow, that sounds bratty. I'm obviously still in touch with my inner teenager.

And now that I've finished that meme, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't tell you guys all that stuff, because I sound rather uptight, and I'm really a laid back person. Oh well, too late now ;)
