do you by any chance keep fiddling with things, even after you've sent it off to the beta? that's something else that is, apparently, a vital part of my process.

and oh man, i totally feel you on not being able to bring the smut while the folks are around. recently i went home on a visit, and even though i spent good chunks of time hunched over the computer, none of it was smut. i just can't!
