Thank you, and I'm always glad to find other Darla fans. She might be my favorite Buffy character, and I love using her even when she's just part of the supporting cast.

Appreciate that you skipped the brutal bits and concentrated on their emotions.

It's the emotional scars that were left on the characters that I'm interested in, which is why I didn't feel the need to go into details about exactly what happened to Angel and Darla. There are somemore brutal bits to their pasts, but again, they won't be explored in play-by-play detail, but in what it did to them emotionaly.
